About The Yogi House

The Yogi House was founded in December of 2021, out of a desire to have a space to move, breathe, and connect within.

Over the course of the following year, The Yogi House became a landing for community members who are rooted in the area year-round as well as yogis who find themselves visiting or living in the area seasonally.

The Yogi House is so much more than a yoga studio. It is a home base for our community to come together, be with ourselves and each other, and ultimately live the best life possible for us.

MEET REAGAN

I’ve always believed that yoga finds people exactly when they need it, and my story of finding and falling in love with yoga is no different. Yoga found me while living in San Diego and like many who walk this path, I was navigating a whole host of life changes and the path of yoga quickly became one that guided and grounded me when I needed it most.

I quickly grew to love the physical aspect of the practice having come from an athletic background, but it wasn’t long before I felt how yoga touches every area of your life in a way that reaches much deeper than the physical. When I took my teacher training, I deeply connected with the other students over our interest in spiritual and energetic practices such as yoga, meditation, and overall health and wellness. I really loved learning about the path and philosophy of yoga and felt it aligned with the life I wanted to live and build.

When I decided to move back to Michigan years later, I had always dreamed of owning or creating my own space to share these practices and gifts while growing a community of like-minded people who can connect and continue to evolve together.

I wasn’t sure what I would find regarding yogic practices in the area, but I was grateful to have found The Yogi House just a few months after settling into my new life back in Michigan.

I began teaching at The Yogi House shortly after and over the summer season, grew close with many members of the community here as well as the founder of The Yogi House and the students.

In January of 2023, I was presented with the opportunity to continue growing with The Yogi House as the owner and allowing my dreams to actualize in this life.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue to share my practices and knowledge with this community and keep the spirit of The Yogi House alive and growing.

I want to extend my gratitude to the previous owner and all of our students for what we have all cultivated together here at The Yogi House. I am honored to continue holding this space, and can’t wait to see what lies ahead for the future of The Yogi House. I can confidently say it is a bright future that lies ahead, so thank you for being a part of this journey, and this home. - Reagan

“I have taken yoga for over 30 years. I had only a few home studios through the years. When we moved to East Tawas I was in search of a great studio and found what I needed at the Yogi House.”
